The Volvo B8R features our most fuel-efficient engine ever, and it comes in versions for both Euro 3 and Euro 5. It’s a genuine Volvo engine which means full commonality with Volvo Trucks when it comes to the parts and service network. Depending on application, you can choose from two automatic transmissions, in order to optimise performance and fuel efficiency. A built-in hydraulic retarder is standard, substantially reducing brakepad wear. The rear axle is one of the most durable ever built, and depending on type of operation the service interval is up to 400,000 km.

best possible start. Regardless of application, you get a
strong, rigid framework on which it is easy to build a stable
weight-efficient body structure. All service points are located
for simple and swift maintenance, and since it’s a Volvo

Volvo B8R medium-floor and a low-entry version, the Volvo
B8RLE. Both permit wide doors and a wide centre aisle,
making for high passenger capacity with quick entry and
exit. And the efficient passenger flow is further enhanced
by the kneeling function.
